The central library of UMBB is located halfway between the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (formerly INELEC) and the Algerian Petroleum Institute (IAP). It was inaugurated by the President of the Republic in October 2004. The library’s purpose is to offer its users—students, teaching staff, and researchers from M’Hamed Bougara University, among others—the best study and research conditions in a calm and pleasant environment. The library also serves as a space for national and international scientific, technical, and cultural conferences, as well as any activities contributing to the development of education and scientific research at UMBB.
The library has a website; its first version was created in 2004.
